About the Robert Chinn Foundation

Named in honor of the Pacific Northwest's first Chinese American community banker, Robert Chinn, the mission of the Robert Chinn Foundation, is to improve the civic, educational and cultural quality of life of Asian Pacific Americans.  Since 1986, the Foundation has strived to continue Robert Chinn's work of helping his local Asian American neighbors prosper.

In 1994, through the generous help of volunteers and financial assistance from corporations and individuals, the Foundation built the Asian Resource Center (ARC), the first multi-purpose use facility of its kind in Seattle's historic Chinatown/International District - the spiritual heart of the Pacific Northwest's Asian Pacific American community.

Today, the ARC serves over 12000 annually providing affordable facilities for meetings, classes, community gatherings, sports and wellness activities and special events.
The Asian Hall of Fame stands as a permanent exhibition at the Asian Resource Center.
