Honoring the achievements of Asian Americans

The Robert Chinn Foundation plans to induct one to five prominent Asian Americans into the Asian Hall of Fame each year at a reception of corporate donors, public officials, community leaders and our Asian community. In 2004 the inducted nominees were: America's first Chinese American Governor Gary Locke, former US National track star Rick Noji, Japanese film star Yujii Okumoto, landscape painter Z.Z. Wei and a posthumous award to the celebrated painter/sculptor George Tsutakawa.

This year the nominees are Olympic skating champion, Apolo Anton Ohno and Loida Nicholas Lewis, Chairman and CEO of TLC Beatrice International.

They will be  inducted on Thursday, April 26, 2007, 5:30 p.m. at the Asian Resource Center.
