Asian Hall of Fame and WIN Host Pasadena Launch
Women Investing In Nurses patrons and influencers expand impact
PASADENA, Calif., September 23, 2025 – Global legacy platform Asian Hall of Fame and its Women Investing In Nurses Guild hosted their Pasadena launch event at the Starlight Benefit on September 20. WIN was established 13 years ago as a donor circle of philanthropists from San Marino, Arcadia, and Orange County. In May, WIN joined Asian Hall of Fame to increase their impact. Starlight Benefit is WIN and Asian Hall of Fame’s first event in Pasadena.
Miss Asia USA Nicole Ho, a pre-med student at La Sierra University, made a special appearance as the 2025 Asian Hall of Fame Cultural Ambassador. Performers were Joe Calderon, Maki Mae, American Idol Malea Emma Tjandrawidjaja, Aubrey Leonard, and Academy of Magic Arts student Max Bradley.
Honorees at the Pasadena launch included sponsors Carol and Chris McGuire, representing the H.N. and Frances C. Berger Foundation, as well as WIN expansion founders Kathy Antoci, Debbi Cordano, Irene Deak, Susan Hanson, Yumi Johnson, Ellie Lloyd, Melinda Rogers, Patty Soldo, and Cyndi Olsen, daughter of late philanthropist Lilah Stangeland.
Asian Hall of Fame Board Chairwoman Melinda Rogers and leaders recognized were Kristen Lui (Inductee 2024), Andy Henry (Disney Studios), John Nicholas (Pinnacle Worldwide), Hon. Judge Jamie Louie, Patty Soldo, Ada Wong, and Yumi Johnson.
EisnerAmper, Manhattan Hotel Group Founder Kitty Lo, 24Vegan Founder Kimberly Vodang, Kelly and John Diehl, and Orange County philanthropists also attended.
Asian Hall of Fame has advanced 63 fellows and $3.7 million in direct impact since 2020. Notable Inductees include Connie Chung, Kristi Yamaguchi, former East West Bank President & COO Julia Gouw, Panda Express Founders Andrew and Peggy Cherng, Bruce Lee, UCLA neurosurgeon Dr. Linda Liau, City of Hope oncologist Dr. Peter Lee, amongst others. This year’s beneficiary, Shriners Children’s Pasadena, will receive a grant that empowers women to become pediatric surgeons.
