Prize Winners
Asian Hall of Fame changed the trajectory of my life. AHOF supported my STEM OPT extension on my F-1 Visa and can also provide a cap exempt, H-1B Visa. Through AHOF’s scholarships and career grants, I’ve been able to pursue my dream of becoming a UX designer.
I’ve had the opportunity to launch meaningful projects that span research, design, and innovation. From developing sustainable design strategies for our new center, to designing Inductee nameplates and Connie Chung’s Centennial Medal, to leading our website redesign, I’ve been able to apply my full range of skills in exciting and impactful ways. Thanks to AHOF, I can focus my energy on growing professionally and creatively in the United States.

Founded by Julia S. Gouw
Julia S. Gouw is a 2024 Asian Hall of Fame Inductee, former President and Chief Operating Officer of East West Bank, and American Banker Magazine’s “25 Most Powerful Women in Banking”. She serves as Chairwoman of the Board of Piermont Bank, and Board Director of Pacific Life and VIZIO.
Women In Entertainment Grant Recipient
Because of AHOF and their Women In Entertainment project grants, I am able to make rent and pay for groceries each month. I am encouraged to have a flexible schedule and to keep my focus on acting. Since I joined AHOF, I have been able to take time off to film three different short films that have helped me gain footage for my demo reel and to act in multiple workshops at reputable theatres in Los Angeles and San Diego.
Not only is Asian Hall of Fame helping me fulfill my basic needs, it is also elevating my network as an artist. Through the Asian Hall of Fame, I have met powerful AAPI artistic leaders and experienced opportunities that I never would have come across if not for the Asian Hall of Fame.
